Slide #1: Clean Air: Our Heritage, Our Right

In 2004, ConservAmerica sponsored clean air advocacy workshops for citizens in five metropolitan areas in the eastern half of the United States – Chicago, Tampa, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Atlanta. The workshops were held in cooperation with Republicans for Environmental Protection, with the support of the Clean Air Task Force and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

A key goal of the workshops was to inform citizens about one of the most critical public health and environmental issues America faces, especially east of the Mississippi River –the impacts of coal-fired power plants on public health and on the environment.

With the workshops concluded, we are making information from our workshop presentations available on ConservAmerica's web site. If you have questions, please contact REP Policy Director Jim DiPeso.
